Travelling to different countries gives you a great opportunity to try different international cuisines. There are many dishes offered by each country.
The foods offered In India are very sophisticated kinds. While there is sophisticated foods in the Punjabi area in northern India, going to the other directions will reveal different types of cuisine which are mostly vegetarian with very little meat including lamb, chicken, fish, and goat.
French cuisine is excellent cuisine. One popular ingredient in French cuisine is rich cream and alcohol. One of the best and popular dishes in France is escargot or snails cooked in garlic butter with frogs’ legs. Some people are put off by snails and frogs in their dish, but these people are missing one great dish that is a delight to many. What you can find in France are pastries, spirits, Liquors, and wines which are all over the place.
There are a lot of great Mediterranean cuisine but the best of these is the Spanish cuisine. They have tasty snacks or starters called ‘tapas’, and their seafood dishes are really very tasty. Sherry is their most famous national drink but they also have many excellent wines. Made in Jerez, sherry is wine fortified with brandy. Sangria which is like punch, is red wine with spices, spirits and fruit and is quite inexpensive.
Mexican or Aztec cookery is blended with Spanish idea. Mexicans are very fond of wrapped dishes in tacos or tortillas made from flour based breads. Avocados as mashed with oil and garlic to make that famous Mexican dip called Guacamole.
Italy is famous for pasta and pizza. Laborers in the field eat pizza for lunch. Each village used to have its open brickwork pizza oven and you could see women returning from the woods with baskets full of mushrooms to make the delicious pizza al funghi. 300 varieties of sausages and 400 kinds of cheeses would make any traveler dizzy at the wide selection. Italian cuisine has been there for ages.
The Middle Eastern cuisine is a combination of Mediterranean and eastern cuisine with plenty of warming spices like cinnamon. Hear you eat delicious breads with you appetizers, dips, and pickles. They use plenty of lentils and chick peas and they have different salads with little meat.
Thai cooking uses lemon grass and lime juice to create delicate and subtle flavors. You will notice Thai food a combination of bitter, sweet, hot, and sour flavors. When Thais cook, they use a lot of fish sauce and noodles.
Sushi rice and fish dishes are famous in Japan. Here you will also taste a lot of sweet and rice based recipes and soya bean products and recipes.
